Financial literacy meets active citizenship

www.investinyouth.eu
The Challenge

When young people can't connect money to meaning

Without a solid foundation in financial principles, young people struggle to link their economic choices to wider societal responsibilities — reducing their participation in the social, economic and civic life of their communities.

This gap is a barrier to a well-informed, financially competent and engaged youth population able to strengthen democratic processes and social cohesion across the EU. Invest in Youth bridges it with an innovative educational tool that makes both skills click.

Our Aim

A financially literate & civically engaged generation

We help young people understand the critical link between personal financial stability and active citizenship — building leaders who manage their own money and care for their communities.

What we set out to do

Six objectives, one mission

Every part of the project is designed to make learning personal finance and civic duties fun, accessible and memorable for young people.

An interactive board game

Combine financial literacy with civic education in a game that makes learning fun, accessible and memorable.

Link finance to society

Foster a deeper understanding of civic responsibilities by showing how financial education impacts the community.

Cultivate leadership

Grow leadership skills in youth through an understanding of economic and civic responsibility.

Equip youth workers

Provide comprehensive resources, training and instructional materials so educators can run the game effectively.

A practical guide

Help youth workers communicate how financial education is integral to societal growth and responsible citizenship.

Pilot & evaluate

Train, pilot locally and measure the real impact on financial literacy and active participation in society.
